Children of Diplomats?

You've all heard the old "the 14th amendment guarantees all persons born in US territory are US citizens except the children of foreign diplomats"  (as if foreign nationals are not foreign nationals and we pretend we deny the children of foreign diplomats US citizenship) nothing could be further from the truth.

Well I asked the state dept if we keep records of all the foreign diplomats, foreign embassy workers, foreign UN workers, foreign world bank workers, their foreign staff, foreign spies, foreign security workers and all their foreign spouses if the State Dept did anything to deny the children born of this foreign army in US territory US citizenship, their reponse "No".

No not even the 14th amendment is enforced upon foreign diplomats & agents, I'd be willing to bet most of our State Dept diplomatic staff are people of foreign origin with foreign allegiances.

Townhall email today

I got an email from Mark McClellan via Townhall today, the subject was healthcare and the spiraling costs and a plea to join his group to fight the huge costs of "Chronic disease".  http://www.fightchronicdisease.org/ they should have called themselves "dumpyourcostsonyourneighbors" or "payforus.org" or "pickupourtab.com"

The advocacy group had this statement in it's plea:

"Few understand the magnitude of the problem: seven out of ten deaths are a result of medical conditions like diabetes, heart disease, and cancer that could have been prevented, minimized, or at least delayed, with proper exercise, diet and preventive health care."

I found the plea ironic because diabetes, heart disease and cancer all have a huge genetic & ethnic component to them, most of those with those diseases have it running through their families either because of their lifestyle, culture or genes. Hispanics & African Americans have 200-400% higher obesity & diabetes rates. http://www.hhs.gov/asl/testify/t990909b.html

Hispanics in particular have obesity & diabetes rates far higher than the native population, not only do they use a disproportionate amount of scarce healthcare resources, they don't pay their fair share or supply their fair share of skilled medical personnel, they are a huge component of our spirialing medical care cost increases-in fact I'd say Hispanic immigration is the single biggest driver of rising healthcare costs in America more than any other reason. http://www.cdc.gov/diabetes/pubs/costs/intro.htm#results

Then I looked at the advocacy group sponsors or "partners" or I should say "profiteers", the list includes union advocacy groups, the medical community, immigrant advocacy groups (Like LULAC and US Chamer of Commerce) and generally lots of people that want to make healthy Americans pick up the tab for unhealthy immigrants.

American's healthcare costs are rising for several reasons, the biggest are we overly restrict the supply of medical care,  we dump the costs of less healthy poor, fat & diseased immigrants on the healthier native population, profiteering trial lawyers, medical care provider unions and government regulation-our cost increases are a direct result of the actions of the advocacy groups posing as low cost healthcare advocacy groups.

Just this month the US house voted to ban discrimination in health insurance http://news.yahoo.com/s/nm/20070425/hl_nm/usa_congress_genetic_dc for genetic reasons at the very moment when millions of genetically less healthy non-paying immigrants are dumped into our healthcare system and genetic tests which could help identify those prone to higher disease rates are available. http://news.yahoo.com/s/nm/20070426/sc_nm/diabetes_genetics_dc

Soon the healthiest Americans will be denied the right to contract with private medical insurers to pool their risk with people of a equal health level, a basic component of insurance is charging a premium directly proportionate to risk, you wouldn't want your auto insurance rated with a bunch of drunken unlicensed crash prone speeders would you?

And if you were a drunken unlicensed speeder your new insurance company should have the right to pool you with drivers of a similar caliber with similar risks in an insurance plan specially designed for drunken speeders who are poor drivers, they may install a breath anaylizer in every vehicle, mandate super high deductibles, frequent tests with higher costs and lower limits with more responsibility on the higher risk drivers-these actions would lower the risks and lower the costs for those drivers.

Anybody with a basic understanding of economics knows if you don't make people pay their own costs they have no incentive to control their own costs.

Anti-genetic discrimination laws will force those who have good genes to subsidize those who have bad genes, not only that , the cost controlling measures needed to reform high healthcare costs (like more medical personnel, tort reform, higher deductibles, more personal responsibility) will be thwarted by not making the less healthy pay their fair share and instead will divert even higher medical care costs on the healthier members of the public.

I think Townhall needs some real economists & critical thinkers to review their solicitations before they send them out to see if they meet Townhall's objectives-whatever they are, I don't believe dumping the healthcare costs of illegal immigrants and their employers on citizens and taxpayers is a "conservative" ideology, in my book it's Socialist or Communist, destructive and even anti-evolutionary.

Government should never be anti-evolutionary, whenever government is anti-evolutionary and goes against nature costs rise and quality of life diminishes.
